SunPorch is a vibrant, caring community of elders……we are your neighbors, your mothers, fathers, uncles and aunts……we have not disengaged but continue to live our lives to the fullest each and every day…..and we continue to contribute to the town around us. The SunPorch campus consists of skilled nursing care based on the Green House model, (www.thegreenhouseproject.org) a unique model that provides services to 11 persons in one building. The building is licensed by the state and federal government as a skilled nursing home. It is designed with private rooms, comforts of home and a philosophy of wellness, rehabilitation, freedom, nurturing, and safety. Each day our elders set their own schedule, pursuing a hobby or personal activity or having lunch with a friend at the local café. Our goal is to facilitate the elders’ independence and ability to pursue their interests. Our staff are provided intensively trained and empowered to carry out their services compassionately and competently.
