The Mitchell County Conservation District, dedicated to protecting natural resources, is seeking a permanent, full-time District Manager/Secretary. This position performs various administrative and clerical duties in carrying out conservation related programs and may require some field work.  This position requires self-motivation to provide the day-to-day coordination of district activities within the policies and guidelines set by the Board of Supervisors.  District Manager serves as the district's representative to other agencies, organizations and the general public.   Strong verbal/written communications and organizational skills are a must.  Superior team work and people skills are very important with proficient computer and accounting abilities.  Agriculture back-ground is helpful, but not required.   Pay will be determined, as based on experience.   Benefits provided, but not limited to health insurance, annual leave, sick leave and KPERS.
