Trego County EMS is currently accepting applications for a full-time EMT. Career staff work a rotating schedule with call back time and every 3rd weekend off. Benefits include Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas medical and dental insurance, life insurance, KPERS, holiday pay, paid vacation and sick leave. Entry level pay is approximately $38,000 per year with duty and call back pay. Candidate must be a certified Kansas EMT and have a current CPR certification. Additional requirements include a current and valid class C driver’s license, compliance with Trego County’s drug and alcohol testing program, the ability to read and write in English, the ability to use a computer for electronic patient records, and reside within a 5 minute response time to the station.
