Description
Purpose:
Organize and maintain equipment lot while also assisting with other dealership duties
Responsibilities:
- Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer locations; may include lawn equipment and skid steers, as well as driving large ag equipment
- Supports the sales department with equipment delivery, as needed
- May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures, as required
- Maintains records of pickup and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts
- Organizes equipment inventory on lot
- Maintains dealership grounds and basic building maintenance
- Assists Service Manager/Shop Foreman in managing customer equipment (arrival, timeliness, cleanliness, and delivery/pickup)
- Assists in loading/unloading trucks
- Assists in wash bay, if needed
- May need to maintain assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition
- Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA and company policy
- Follows all safety rules and regulations and uses safe practices in performing all work assignments
Qualifications
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:
- CDL License required or BTI will assist in the process of obtaining a CDL
- Basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures
- Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
