Having a Kansas CCH Permit is the Best Practice-stay legally prepared. My next Concealed Carry Handgun Class, in Hays, Ks, will be June 08, 2024.  There is a $75.00 non-refundable registration fee to pre-pay in order to reserve your place in the class you wish to attend. To participate, there's a couple of ways. ONE WAY- -stop in at JoeBob Outfitters, 4850 General Hays Rd, Hays Ks. or call (785-639-7121) and sign onto my CCH Roster. The non-refundable fee of Cash; Check; Money Order and/or Credit Cards are accepted thru JoeBobs. ANOTHER WAY--Contact me at 785-259-2121 any day after 6pm.  Please note-classes fill due to the time of the year & limited seating.  IMPORTANT: Pick up my CCH flyer from JobBobOutfitters or click the web address below to download the flyer.

I'm Neal Schmidtberger, the instructor for these listed CCH Classes. I am a BENEFACTOR/LIFE Member of the NRA: NRA Firearms Certified Police Handgun & Shotgun Instructor (since 1984); Life Member of the Kansas Rifle Association; current CCH Instructor with The Kansas Attorney General’s Office (since 2008). My instruction meets the requirements set by the KS. AG and is guided towards your success to receive your CCH Certificate.  You must have THIS certificate to apply for your Kansas CCH permit. Having a Kansas CCH Permit not only allows conceal carry inside the border of our Great State, but outside Kansas borders as well with access to our current reciprocating (United) States.

My CCH Classes are generally held at The Hays City Sportsman's Club, located .3 North of I-70 exit Mile Post 157 Hays, Kansas utilizing the club-house and the pistol range. It’s not required you have club membership for my class. However, you may want to consider a membership as this is a quality, legal location to further enhance your shooting skills       

It's your resonsibility to remember the date you signed up for. No shows forfeits fee. Applicants arrive 8:15am and the CCH Class runs minimum 8 hours, starting at 8:30am. Bring your desired lunch/snack(s); drink of choice-(water; tea; pop) as we work straight through the day. The only e-mail/phone call you will receive from the instructor is if the class is cancelled/postponed for that day. If you have questons, please call 785-259-2121 after 6pm any day prior to the class you signed up for or are interested in.

• Remember-IF you have family; friends; a location-CALL ME-and we can work on your group having a private class on your schedule-Date/Time=at your convenience.  

*You must be 18 years of age or older (ON/AFTER JULY 1, 2021); a Kansas Resident and the procedure to enroll in any these classes is the same as described above. On occassion, a person calls (REQUIRED min. 24 hours before their class is scheduled)-due to an unexpected family emergency-*(Individual is generally allowed 1 "reschedule" as it limits the number of openings in the next scheduled class)- -IF/When this happens, we can work to fill this spot in that particular class.
