Position: Adult Intensive Supervision Officer

Location: 17th Judicial District

Pay: Starting salary of $24.28/hr plus paid single health and dental insurance

NWKCC is currently accepting resumes for a full timeIntensive Supervision Officer. The position will be based out of the 17th Judicial District to provide supervision for adult probationers sentenced to Community Corrections supervision residing in Decatur, Graham, Norton, Osborne, Phillips, and Smith Counties.

Job duties include, performing professional risk assessments (WRNA and LS/CMI), intake, case planning, supervision, casework, and providing rehabilitation services to assist adult clients with being successful and maintaining compliance with court orders and supervision goals within the Department of Corrections. Complete an accurate and thorough risk assessment on each assigned client and develop a comprehensive and effective written case plan that targets the client’s criminogenic needs. Assists all assigned clients in following their terms and conditions of probation and their individual case plan by interacting with them at home, work, school, treatment, and facilities. Incorporates evidence-based practices including motivational interviewing, cognitive skills, and use of graduated responses. Creates and maintains an individual file on each client ensuring all legal documents, reports, social documents, chronological and statistical reports, etc. are present and updated per policy. Completes all data entry into the required database within prescribed timeframes. Attend court hearings and provide testimony regarding the client’s performance and compliance with conditions of probation as needed. This position may also carry a small parole caseload and will be responsible for the supervision of offenders released from prison to post release supervision who are residing in the 17th Judicial District.

Preferred Skills: ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; able to exercise good judgement; demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with others; flexible; able to manage time and perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ethical and professional.

Minimum Qualifications: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
