Looking for Something Different?  At Nex-Tech Wireless, we’re always working to bring the latest technology to the communities we serve.  Join our leading-edge network team as a Network Data Architect.  This individual will provide key technical oversight of the entire network including design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization therein.  Will also configure and install network equipment associated with the wireless data and voice networks to support network stability, traffic loads, and diversity to avoid potential outages.  Responsible for performing TCP/IP network design, IP security, project management, technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, documentation, and cost-effectiveness and risk analysis for the company’s data network systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Networking or equivalent work experience, plus five years’ experience in Wireless or IP transport, routing and network design or equivalent experience with emphasis in two or more of the fields listed below preferred (experience with listed vendor(s) preferred):

o   LTE EPC (Ericsson)

o   IMS for VoLTE & VoWiFi (Ericsson)

o   Routing/Switching (Nokia & Cisco)

o   Virtualization (VMWare ESX & OpenStack)

o   Ethernet/MPLS Transport

o   Translations/Signaling (SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP)

o   Cloud Engineering (Azure,AWS)

The successful candidate will also demonstrate some or all of the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of 4G and 5G data networks, especially 4G/5G EPS and IMS
  • Knowledge of layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing, QoS, MPLS, LANs/WANs, VPNs (GRE/IPSec/L2TP), NAT/PAT, and transport protocols as well as IP security protocols
  • High level of Linux knowledge including scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.
  • Strong experience with Linux/Unix based systems and command line interface
  • Ability to monitor and troubleshoot very complex, mission-critical systems
  • Strong understanding of L2, L3 (TCP/IP) and L4 (UDP/TCP)
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
  • Ability to deliver in fast-paced, high-volume environment supporting aggressive targets
  • Experience drawing/interpreting complex system diagrams
