Smith County Memorial Hospital is looking for a phlebotomist/lab aid to perform a variety of laboratory tasks and procedures. Responsibilities include answering phones, collecting, labeling and packaging samples (blood, urine, nasal swab, etc.), executing laboratory waived testing and accurately recording all data and results in specific formats (paper and electronically). The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and organized. Preference will be given to candidates with prior lab experience although experience is not required. On-the-job training will be provided. Individuals should expect to work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Professional advancement and additional education is available.
