General Utility

POSITION PURPOSE

Assist Mill & Process operators in the production of flour and gluten by safely monitoring equipment and product to ensure operations are within parameters set by of Purefield Ingredients.  Responsible for supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. 

• Observe loading of midds and bulk gluten trucks.
• Clean work areas according to master cleaning schedule to ensure a safe, clean work environment and to keep in accordance with the SQF policies and procedures.
• Assist Mill & Process Operator and Shift Supervisor as requested to maintain plant operations and safety.

Shift:  7am-7pm Days, 7pm-7am Nights (switches every two weeks). Only 3-4 days a week, two or three days off every day off. 

Education/ conditions of employement:        

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must pass random drug screening tests
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Electrician

POSITION PURPOSE:

To ensure the safe and continuous operations of facilities through preventive and predictive maintenance as well as in unexpected situations at Purefield Ingredients. Troubleshooting malfunctions, blackouts and repairing appliances. The goal will be to produce and maintain well-functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

• Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, motor circuits and other electrical systems
• Install electrical apparatus, motors, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
• Attend monthly safety meetings
• Understadn and follow all SQF and FSMA policies

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE:

• Proven experience as an electrician
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
• Troubleshoot PLC programming
• Running conduits and calculate proper load sizing

·         Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints

Maintenance Tech

POSITION PURPOSE:

To ensure the safe and continuous operations of facilities through preventive and predictive maintenance as well as in unexpected situations at Purefield Ingredients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

• Receive daily tasks from Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Lead.
• Walk through plant and check equipment to detect possible malfunctions or problems with production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment as instructed by Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Lead.
• Basic welding and fabrication of parts and equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE

• Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

• Monitoring equipment
• Selecting appropriate tools and equipment
• Performing routine maintenance

Education/ conditions of employement:

 Shift:  6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, with weekly on call rotation

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Hardhat and protective eyewear required within and around processing facilities.  Hearing protection required in areas where levels exceed 85 db.  Uniform provided by Purefield Ingredients.  Steel toe leather boots.  Additional PPE is required when handling hazardous chemicals and in certain areas of the facilities
