This is a really great set of bunk beds, We purchased them approx 3 years ago & spent about $1400. They are really sturdy -- I wanted them to be able to hold both of my kids and my 6'4" husband for bedtime stories without worry and they have more than lived up to the task. My now 6'2" 19 year old is still sleeping in the top bunk nightly & would continue to do so if I didn't think it was time for a new adult-sized bed. The beds come apart to make two twins and I will include a second set of finials for that purpose. There are signs of wear with scratches and some discoloration in parts --mostly along the ladder and edges of headboard/footboard (see pics) and discoloration on the particle boards underneath the beds from years old sippy cup spills. We have really loved these beds and are sad to see them go but it is time!
