Legal Description:  N/2 NE/4 of Section 13, Township 32 South, Range 9 West in Harper County, Kansas. The tract is situated approximately 60 miles southwest of Wichita, Kansas and about 1 mile northwest of the community of Attica.  

The Farm Service Agency measures the tract to contain 79.75 acres with 76.35 acres enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program thru 09/30/2031.  The remaining acreage is in waterway, trees and waste.  The annual contract payment is $2,747 or $35.98 per acre.  The tract is currently leased to the State of Kansas for the walk in hunting program for annual rate of $878.  The lease can be cancelled by the new landowner with written notice if desired.  Property taxes are typically about $120 a year.

The tall growth of program grasses, weeds and wildflowers across the tract provides bedding cover necessary to hold deer.  The parcel is located next to cropland that is situated on the fields adjacent to the north, south and west.  A creek is located less than a 1/4 mile to east of the tract.  There are trees located on the tract near the southwest and northwest corner of the tract for elevated stands.  The habitat across the tract also holds pheasants and quail and attracts dove.  Turkeys are in the area and occasionally nest in the CRP grass.
