The Event Coordinator Intern will assist the Marketing Department by scheduling and presenting our W8T 2 TXT Program at local events. This will involve setting up and transporting all W8T 2 TXT Program materials including golf cart, traffic cones, laptop, and projector for presentations. The Event Coordinator will work partly on site along with some traveling to give presentations.

This internship opportunity will give the student experience in scheduling and facilitating an educational program that includes giving presentations to various groups, insight on the day-to-day operation of a “real life” Marketing Department, and the opportunity to interface with other departments within the company. 

The intern will be trained by the Brand Manager on the W8T 2 TXT Program, as well as any other projects that might be assigned during the internship.

Preferred Degree Programs: Marketing, Communication Studies, or Hospitality.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:                                                          

1.     High School Diploma or equivalent

2.     Knowledge of local communities throughout Western Kansas

3.     Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills

4.     Availability to work some evenings and weekends

Approximately 20 hours per week but could fluctuate depending on event schedules.
