Russell Regional Hospital Social Services Dept is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant. This position is mostly non-patient facing and serves as a supportive role for department director and staff. Administrative tasks will be the primary focus to improve patient service delivery and maintain compliance. This position does not exceed 35 hours a week.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assists Social Services Director with day-to-day management of department
Interprets and ensures department compliance with CMS CoPs and other applicable standards
Initiative to research and learn new concepts
Collaborates with department staff and others to improve service delivery
Develops and maintains department policies and procedures with director oversight
Develops and maintains department resource materials and tools
Tracks department related data for quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Represent department at internal and external meetings as needed
Assists with organizing and scheduling training, education and networking opportunities for dept. staff
Willingness to cross train, as needed
Maintain patient information confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Meet federal, state, local, and facility policies and regulations for care

Qualifications
High school diploma required
College degree in human services or health related field OR human services or health care related experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication
Attention to detail and commitment to high quality performance
Exceptional interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with a team mentality
Ability to interpret federal, state and local regulations to explain and implement
Knowledge of facility department services and community resources
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining professionalism
Ability to problem solve and exercise good judgment
Willingness to cross train as needed
