Nex-Tech Wireless is hiring a Software Developer to create, build, and maintain systems that support our operations.  This individual will assist in designing and implementing API integrations to be utilized by internal teams and external vendors. Our development team collaborates on software needs and work on creative solutions to improve efficiencies.  Ongoing duties include but are not limited to optimizing code for speed, stability, and security; responding to high priority data requests that may require creative or unorthodox approaches for extracting or identifying critical data; design algorithms and flowcharts to create code scripts and software modules.  Candidate must reside in the state of Kansas.

We are seeking candidates to:

• Develop and implement API integrations
• Create and maintain documentation related to API architecture
• Maintain performance of existing software; identify and recommend improvements to existing programs as necessary
• Define requirements and specifications for software projects
• Provide support for technical issues as needed
• Quality assurance
• Educate and train other team members

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Network Technologies, or a similar field or equivalent work experience
• PHP, Python, and SQL experience required
• Preferred 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing web services using API protocols and data formats such as REST (JSON) and SOAP (XML)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work well and collaborate as a member of a team
• Ability to think critically about challenges and to take initiative
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Ability to communicate effectively with a team via face to face, phone, email, or virtual meeting
