The City of Russell is seeking professional and community orientated individuals for the position of Seasonal Pool Lifeguards.

This position involves ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies at the City swimming pool, assist in cleaning the facility and related areas and maintenance and operation of pool equipment, monitor assigned recreational pool area to detect hazards, disturbances, or safety infractions, enforce all City of Russell pool policies and procedures.

The swimming pool opens for the summer season on Memorial Day weekend and remains operational through mid-August. The swimming pool is open seven days a week with additional pre and post swim hours for pool parties, programs, and daily operational duties. Lifeguards are needed for the entire pool season.

Must be at least 15 years of age, must possess or be able to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, along with CPR and First Aid Certification.  Applicant must reside within Russell County.
