The City of Russell is seeking professional and community-oriented individuals for a full-time School Resource Officer.

Under the supervision of the Police Captain, the school resource officer performs a variety of duties in the enforcement of laws and prevention of crimes. This employee will be primarily assigned to USD 407 for the purpose of providing highly responsible law enforcement work within the schools to maintain a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment for students, staff, and patrons. The employee will create and foster a positive relationship between law enforcement and the youth of the community.

KS-CPOST Certification and three years of experience as a certified law enforcement officer. Must obtain Basic School Resource Officer certification within 12 months of hire.
