Description
2000 Starlite Motorcycle trailer. Built by the Starlite trailer and RV company in Missouri. It was almost $3,000 with all the options that were put on it.
I am asking $1,100. But will take a reasonable offer. I have done a lot to this trailer since I bought it and used it for a trip to Louisiana and back.
New tires, new chrome lug nuts, new chrome center caps on wheels, 5 new lights on chrome rear bumper, new bulbs and new wired connector to go to your bike or trike trailer socket. This is a round connector not the flat style 4 prong connector but it can be converted.
Rear light package that includes a spoiler with full neon red light bar across the back of it. The bar is always lit up but it also works with the brakes and gets brighter. There are 5 rectangle red lights on the chrome bumper. There are two bigger red lens lights for left and right hand turn signal with left and right side lights that also flash for turns. They are on the rear sides of the trailer. There is a larger red light in the center of the trailer rear that is the brake light. All lights are on all the time. I had no problems with traffic behind me when I drove to Louisiana and back.
The Trailer pulled smooth on the trip.
Some of the features of this trailer are as follows;
The inside measurements of the trailer are 4 feet long, 32 inches wide and 19 inches deep from the bottom to the top of the lid.
The trailer has a top luggage rack ahead of rear spoiler and stainless steel plates on top of the trailer cover/lid ribs. This makes this trailer super handy.
You can strap cargo on top of the trailer as well as the inside of the trailer. I like to use water proof luggage and a cargo net. I use bungee cords for larger, irregular, shape items.
Hydraulic pistons hold the hinged top open. They hold the top open like the ones on your trunk lid. Most trailers have metal prop bars.
The overall length of the trailer from the hitch to the rear is 7 foot.
The front of the trailer has a cross stitched padded bra to absorb the impact of stones and road debris.
The overall width is 33 inches.
It rides smooth due to the independent torsion suspension for the trailer tires and also due to the wide wheelbase.
There is a fiberglass holder bolted on the trailer tongue for a playmate cooler. This is very handy to carry ice, cold drinks and snacks while you are riding. (As a precaution I use a bungee cord to hold the cooler in place while riding.)
360 degree rotating hitch that goes onto the ball. Your bike will lean but the hitch rotates and keeps the trailer level.
Uses 1-7/8th inch ball
The hitch has safety chains. The ball lock can be locked so nobody can lift it up and take the trailer. The trailer tongue and hitch are chrome plated.
This bike or trike trailer is not in new condition. The paint has some scratches. The lining in the trailer looks used but is not torn.
Please see listing pictures they can probably tell you more at a glance than I can.
I have title for the trailer, free of any lien. (This trailer does not have to be licensed by the DMV in Kansas. It does not need a plate because it is too light for mandatory registration. (You can register it and get plates if you want to.) I just pulled it behind my Honda 1800 VTX Trike to Louisiana and back to Hoisington. I didn’t have any problems with no plate on the trailer.
