NOW HIRING: Seasonal Street Maintenance Worker (May - August)

Do you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and working with your hands? The City of Russell is looking for professional and community-oriented individuals to join our Street Department team for the summer season!

Situated at the crossroads of Interstate 70 and US Highway 281, we are a community dedicated to family, friends, and neighbors, where generations care for each other.

Position Details:

• Duration: May to August (Seasonal)
• Schedule: 30 – 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Street Superintendent or Leadworker, you will perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks, including: 

• Construction, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of city streets, curbs, gutters, and storm drains.
• Operating a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Performing related duties to maintain our community infrastructure.
• On-the-job training is provided! 

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Applicants may reside outside of the city, subject to response times as administratively determined and required for the department
