• Serviced January 2025: Removed/washed/inspected the bearings and races. All were in good condition and were repacked with fresh grease and installed with new seals. Installed new brake assemblies and wired the brakes.  Next, we inspected the wiring. Repaired wires and replaced/grounded lights that were not working. All the lights are now work and brakes have power. Next, we inspected the trailer for cracks and structural issues. We repaired/welded cracks (mostly at the rear). We removed the bumper, cut off the cancered steel that was there and welded a new piece of steel to the rear. Then we bolted the existing bumper back in place. The gate latch would not work well because gate was sagging. We adjusted the gate swing and the slide, and the latch now works better. We adjusted the cut gates and made adjustments so they would all slide properly. We inspected tires; they are pickup tires, so they are built better than trailer tires. They don't look great, but they have many miles left. All aired to 75 psi. We mounted a new 235/80R16 10 ply spare.The trailer is ready to go!
