4 does in milk, some come with doelings at their sides.
SOLD - Honey - 2 year old single doe. She does have longer hair - her great grandmother is lamanch x golden gurnsey and Honey apparently has somehow inherited the golden gurnsey hair. Heavy producer; nice, even udder. Very sweet, quiet personality. Leash trained, knows her name and comes when she's called. Excellent mother, very friendly. Mostly well behaved on the stand - can hand milk or machine milk (she gets a bit antsy on the machine at "hook up" and when her udder empties). $200 (Optional buckling at her side for $300).
Ginger - 3 year old doe, comes with doeling and a buckling at her side. Ginger is a bit of a hard keeper but put the feed to her and she's a nice producing doe, usually at least 1/2 gallon on a once per day milking, sharing with kids. Ginger was hit pretty hard with a parasite bloom after kidding this year, but she was treated and is recovering nicely. She's got a decent udder, even, nice teats. Very well behaved on the stand for both hand and machine milking. Quiet and friendly, she's all about business - no drama. Don't let the long horns intimidate you - this doe is as sweet as can be. She's leash trained, knows her name and comes when she's called. Excellent mother, had quads this year. $350 as a set; $250 on her own.
Venus - 2 year old doe, with doeling at her side. Easy keeper, good milker. Venus is a bit high strung, but she's friendly and obedient; super food motivated but not aggressive. She's a very quiet girl. Nice, even udder. Venus is a half gallon milker on a once per day milking. Prefers hand milking but with a little patience and hands-on work she will tolerate machine milking. Leash trained, knows her name and comes when she's called. Excellent mother. She had twins this year and I'm retaining one of her doelings. $350 as a set; $250 on her own.
Vivian - 3 year old doe with a doeling at her side. Pictures don't do this girl justice. She's a big doe, and a heavy producer. Vivian is an excellent mother, had triplets this year (two of her doelings have been sold). Super sweet doe and very obedient. She's extremely well behaved on the stand for both hand and machine milking. She'll talk to you if she needs something, and she's very easy going and patient. Super friendly. Leash trained, knows her name and comes when she's called. She's not overly vocal but will talk to you - usually yelling. Vivians teats are larger (not blown, just large) and lower hanging but it hasn't been a problem when nursing her kids. $400 as a set; $300 on her own. The only reason she's leaving my farm is am heavily downsizing my herd.
