Have you ever wondered about the history of WaKeeney becoming the Christmas City?  Here is your chance to come and explore the Trego County Museum and learn about the history of the holiday festivities on for the annual tree lighting. 

“The ABC’s of the Christmas City” display will open on Saturday, November 29th, just in time for the 75th anniversary of the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.  The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for visitors to come and enjoy this special holiday exhibit. 

The holiday exhibit is designed to explore the museum and find each of the letters which represent an important part of the history of the tree lightning.  This special holiday event will be open until the end of December for everyone to enjoy.  Regular museum hours are Tuesday – Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.
