Description

Serial #1549FLA, 22 LR, 4 3/8” barrel with an excellent bore. Colt’s “G-Series” Peacemaker revolver was the base model for this handsome revolver. It retains 99% blue and anodized finishes showing a 1 minor handling marks while the frame retains the rich swirls of case-hardened colors this series was prized for. The screws, basepin, basepin latch, and ejector rod retain their full gold plate. The smooth wood grips rate excellent, it features gold Rampant Colt medallions, and bears a gold plated screw. The revolver has fixed sights, appears unfired, and correctly times and locks up. The left side of the barrel is marked “1822 – FLORIDA TERRITORY – 1972”, while the top has the barrel address. A wood presentation case with gold felt lined interior is included. The cover has wood pressed outline of the state of Florida with their seal, Colt logo, and “Florida Territory Sesquicentennial 1822-1972” below the state. The case rates very good to excellent showing scattered light handling marks. According to Don Wilkerson’s book Colt Scout Peacemakers and New Frontiers in .22 Caliber, Colt manufactured 1,996 of these commemoratives.
