Commercial Sheetmetal Installer
Glassman Corporation is seeking an experienced Commercial Sheetmetal Installers in your area to join our growing HVAC & Plumbing team. This position works directly under a Foreman-level leader and plays a critical role in delivering high-quality commercial and light industrial HVAC installations. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently in a team environment, and understands the importance of proper duct installation and insulation.
Position Overview
As a Commercial Sheetmetal Installer at Glassman Corporation, you will be responsible for installing HVAC systems in accordance with project plans, codes, and company standards. This role requires hands-on field experience, attention to detail, and the ability to support the Foreman while maintaining productivity and quality on job sites. Travel is required during the work week.
Key Responsibilities(not limited to)
- Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, ducted systems, and associated components
- Install, seal, and support ductwork in accordance with SMACNA standards and project specifications
- Insulate ductwork, including supply, return, and exhaust ducting as required by plans and code
- Assist the Foreman with daily jobsite tasks, layout, and sequencing of work
- Read and interpret construction drawings, HVAC plans, and specifications
- Ensure installations comply with local codes, manufacturer requirements, and company quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
- Identify and report material needs, discrepancies, or installation concerns to the Foreman
- Coordinate with other trades to maintain workflow and avoid conflicts
- Perform start-up assistance and support as directed (under supervision)
- Adhere to all safety policies and OSHA requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sheetmetal installation experience (commercial and/or light industrial)
- Strong knowledge of ductwork installation and duct insulation practices
- Ability to work effectively under a Foreman or Lead Installer
- Experience reading blueprints and HVAC layouts
- Basic understanding of HVAC codes and installation best practices
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in attics, mechanical rooms, and construction environments
Compensation & Benefits
- $35–$40 per hour, based on experience
