Description

Original WW2 Inland M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine with origian NRA/DCM box shipped in December of 1962.  Serial number in the 505 thousand range with likely original 6-43 Inland barrel with ME of just 1.  Nice shiny bore in excellent overall condition as reqbuilt by Augusta Arsenal with large AAV stamp on the left side of stock.  Other parts as follows: Proper WW2 Paratrooper folding stock with faint casting marks of back of butt plate. The stock is free of chips or cracks and is excellent condition with usual marks from flolding.  The cheekpiece is original WW2 with steel rivets, leather is nice and soft. Four hole IO marked Inland had guard. RI/3 marked along with P proof and Ordance bomb grip made for Inland by SE Overton on late M1A1's. Stock has proper IO mark on inside of stock well, JI Type III barrel band, N marked front sight, Type II rear adj sight, JAO marked flip safety, Undrwood marked trigger guard with U on mag well & standard Underwood  ordinance bomb on gaurd, NI marked hammer, IO marked round bolt and PI marked Inland slide.

Mechanics are perfect, shipped from Letterkenny Arsenal in Pennsylvania in December of 1962 as per shipping label on the box which also has the serial number of the rifle. Sorry no DCM papers., just the box which still has the original wrappings.  Remember rebuilt carbines can really have any parts, yet this one retains mostly Inland marked parts as it would have in WW2.
