Human Resource Data Analyst: Mon - Fri (8am - 5pm)
Valley Hope is expanding our Human Resources team with the addition of a HR Data Analyst.
Based out of our home office in Norton, KS, this role leads the administration, optimization, and governance of the organization’s HRIS platforms while partnering with HR, IT, and Finance to deliver reliable systems and data. The position also develops advanced analytics and dashboards to provide actionable workforce insights that support strategic decision-making and organizational effectiveness.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, IT, or related field, or relevant job experience.
- 3+ years of experience in HRIS, HR data analytics, or a related HR/IT role.
- Demonstrated expertise with HR software (e.g., UKG, Workday, Paycom). .
- 2 years of experience with BI tools, SQL, and advanced Excel functions
- Experience as HRMS System Administrator
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, IT, or related field.
- Experience with UKG HR systems and data warehousing.
- HR domain knowledge (turnover analysis, compensation analytics, workforce planning).
- Courses or certifications in data analysis (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau), HR analytics, or HR certifications
COMPENSATION:
- Starting annual salary range from $70,000 - $85,000 per year (based on experience/education).

JOB SUMMARY:
- Work with the Human Resource leadership team to configure system modules, workflows, and user permissions to streamline HR processes.
- Partner with IT and vendors on major enhancements, implementations, and upgrades.
- Provide expert guidance on HRIS best practices and emerging HR technology trends.
- Serve as administrator for HRIS platforms including configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot system issues and partner with IT or vendors to implement solutions.
- Support testing and implementation of system updates, patches, and enhancements.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, BI reports, and analytics using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to deliver actionable workforce insights.
- Extract, transform, analyze, and interpret HR data to support workforce planning, turnover analysis, compensation trends, and strategic decision-making, including ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance across HR systems and reports by conducting audits, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining data governance standards.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to identify reporting needs, define requirements, and deliver system and analytical solutions.
- Train HR staff and end users on HRIS functionality, reporting tools, and data interpretation to promote effective system utilization.
- Identify opportunities to automate HR processes through system improvements and BI workflows.
- Document system workflows, standard operating procedures, and change logs to ensure consistency, compliance, and knowledge continuity.
- Serve as an HR business partner to management and executive leadership team members through the offering of consulting services that deliver best practices focused on solutions in support of the department and/or facility.
- Implement and ensure consistent application of human resources operational strategies, policies, and processes to increase operational efficiency and ensure compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, employment laws, and policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with management and leadership team members to drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance & Accounting to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting as well as tracking and reporting of compensation and benefits programs; ensures accuracy and timely accruals and reporting on expensing these programs.
- Partner with HR Director to conduct benchmarking studies that assesses and aligns internal compensation and benefit programs with comparable external practices; manages participation in various salary and benefits surveys to ensure a relevant survey library to support pay and benefits recommendations.
- Function as system administrator of HR Management System including set up and implementation of modules as well as ongoing system monitoring and maintenance.
- Ensures data integrity is maintained and that HRMS platform delivers accurate reporting information.
- Develop and maintain HR reports within the HR Management System, to ensure reports are accurate and disbursed in a timely manner. Report wide variety of payroll information, files and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
- Develop and deliver presentations to leadership team.
- Partner with Director of Training in the development and presentation of HRIS-related training across the organization.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all pertinent regulations, filing, and compliance requirements for system security and maintenance.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee data; maintains a working knowledge of and adheres to Valley Hope’s HR policies and procedures.

- Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office setting with traditional hours.
- Sitting for extended periods of time of up to 4 hours
- Able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
- Must be able to travel – estimated at 20% of the time.
