In this position, the representative will gather and verify patient information, including insurance, identification and other demographic details, ensure accurate paperwork is completed, input information into patients’ electronic records, apply patient payments correctly and perform other duties as needed. This role is often the first interaction between patients and staff. Because of this, registration clerks should provide excellent customer service focused on compassion and problem-solving.
