Here is a complete and functional Turkish 1893/38 Mauser rifle.  It has all the conversion markings to 8x57mm (8mm Mauser), 29" barrel, left side of receiver cut for the 8mm round, rear sight has Western numerals. Bore is good for its age, the action is clean and smooth.

It appears the conversion was done in 1938.
