Required Education- High school, College or Vocational Nursing

Required or Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

1. Nursing experience OR in-home/commercial health care experiences w/seniors. 1-2 years

Job Overview: This position is for covering shifts of 24-hour care of a very modest, elderly women at private residence.  She is a high energy and very independent, so we are seeking a dependable, kind, energetic, and highly patient person with strong communication and organizational skills. Resident requires a regiment of medications that MUST be followed consistently, so candidate must be dependable and organized.  Resident requires 100% use of walker. Resident will require transportation to doctor’s appointments, grocery store, etc. Must also be willing and able to complete daily meal preparation and various light cleaning tasks as well as help the resident in and out of bed, the shower and restroom.  Resident requires oversight at all times. Must have the capability to understand directions regarding the resident’s use of oxygen, including changing unit from larger to a more mobile unit while resident wants to leave the residence.
