Here is a nice original first year of production lettered Winchester 1885 high wall in 32-40 caliber serial number 269. The metal condition of this firearm is mostly a nice brown patina throughout with the wood being nice and solid and full fitting with an ebony forend tip. The bore is good I wood rate a 7/10. The action functions as it should it has a set trigger in it but the internal spring and screw are not there but it already has probably a 2lb trigger so not needed. Overall this is a very nice extremely early high wall that will be hard to find one made earlier and in a desirable caliber. Great collector gun or can probably be taken out and have some fun with.
