HR Onboarding Coordinator: Mon - Fri (8am - 5pm)
Valley Hope an exciting opportunity on our Human Resources team in this key role of Onboarding Coordinator. This position will be based out of our Home Office in Norton, KS.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 3+ years’ administrative/clerical work experience.
Preferred:
- 2+ years’ work experience within Human Resources.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Work experience with HR Management Systems; UKG experience preferred.

JOB SUMMARY:
- Partners with the Director of People and Culture throughout the entire employee journey, spanning from the onboarding of new hires, their ongoing development and support, to the processes related to offboarding and terminations/exits, following the recruitment phase.
- Acts as the main contact person for both new hires and hiring managers during the onboarding process, delivering customer service, facilitating the onboarding process, and maintaining continuous communication with new hires, hiring managers, and the HR Department.
- Responsible for all aspects of new hire processing, including E-Verify support, the completion of new hire documentation, the establishment of personnel files, and the facilitation of onboarding through the HRMS system.
- Responsible for collecting required preemployment documents and organizing them within their New Hire folder to be processed.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the shared spreadsheet with New Hire and Status Change information for use by the HR Department.
- Verifies the completion of all necessary HR forms and ensures that all actions are consistent with Valley Hope's policies and procedures.
- Creates and maintains confidential employee human resources files while ensuring that all requests and documents related to HR are processed promptly.
- Generates and distributes reports as needed and directed.
- Acts as a central contact point for employees throughout Valley Hope concerning HR-related matters and the interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Responds to phone calls and emails, addressing various inquiries, including but not limited to general questions, recruitment, employment verification, and Relias-related issues, while also assisting in issue resolution.
- Oversees the entire employee lifecycle within the HRMS system, including new hires, status changes, and terminations. Coordinates with Information Services and Finance and Accounting departments to exchange and process data for updating various Valley Hope systems as needed.
- Manages the coordination of pre-employment background checks and screenings for candidates per position and state requirements, monitors and communicates the results as needed, and assists in handling adverse/pre-adverse letters in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) compliance requirements.
- Maintains and monitors the adherence to all aspects of the I-9 compliance process, serving as a liaison for hiring managers to provide guidance and aid in the completion of I-9 forms through E-Verify, for all newly hired individuals.
- Coordinate and leads the New Hire Orientation process, which includes scheduling, facilitating, and maintaining communication with all Valley Hope staff members participating. Keeps a record of all required orientation forms and documents necessary for the completion of personnel files.
- Responsible for the onboarding of new contract employees, which involves preemployment background checks, license verification and other documentation required per position and state requirements and filing those documents in the New Hire Folder.
- Assist Director of People and Culture with employee engagement activities including, but not limited to, new hire surveys, employee recognition programs, and exit interviews.
- Partner with Supervisor to monitor and maintain Relias Learning System. Including: reporting, maintaining, and creating Training Plans, and additional development of the system.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee data; builds a working knowledge of and adheres to Valley Hope’s HR policies and procedures.
