Rohr’s Carpet Cleaning, Service & Sales is located in Hays, KS and we’re a family-owned small business since 1990. We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and outgoing Cleaning Technician to join our team!

If you are a self-starter who enjoys working independently, meeting new people, and takes pride in a job well done, you’ll fit right in. You’ll be the face of our business, traveling to residential and commercial properties to provide top-notch cleaning services and excellent customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, discuss their cleaning needs, walk them through the process, and ensure they are thrilled with the results before you leave.
• Service Execution: Run, maintain, and properly operate professional cleaning equipment for carpets, upholstery, and tile.
• Problem Solving: Assess different carpet types, stains, and high-traffic areas to determine the best treatment method.
• Driving & Logistics: Safely drive the company service vehicle to and from scheduled appointments, keeping it organized and stocked with supplies.
• Accuracy: Handle basic payments, invoice documentation, and job notes accurately.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll need a mix of physical stamina, a great attitude, and a solid driving record.

• Personality: Outgoing and friendly with strong communication skills. You should feel comfortable talking to homeowners and business managers alike.
• Work Ethic: A true self-starter. Once you know the ropes, you can manage your day and stay on task without someone looking over your shoulder.
• Physical Ability: Able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs, moving lightweight furniture, and being on your feet for extended periods.
• License: A valid driver’s license with a clean, safe driving record is required to operate company vehicles.
• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work regular daytime hours, with occasional Saturdays depending on customer demand.
• Background: Prior experience in carpet cleaning, detailing, or manual labor is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person if they have the drive and the right attitude.
• Education: Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Drug/Alcohol Testing: Must be able to pass.
