Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital's WaKeeney Family Care Center is looking for a full-time RN or LPN Nurse.

Position Overview

Under general direction, develops, implements, evaluates, and manages the care and education of patients; supervises day-to-day activities of patient care; performs assessments of patients; attends educational in-services and coordinates the overall patient plan of care with the healthcare Providers.  Coordinates the overall patient plan of care with Healthcare providers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Oversees patient schedules, appointments and procedures.

·         Attends and assists during procedures at request of Provider.

·         Schedules and implements referrals for patient at request of Provider.

·         Performs patient histories, reviews patients’ medications and maintains medical records.

·         Follows through with all patient orders with accuracy and in a timely manner.

·         Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Functions as a liaison between patient, Provider, and other healthcare providers.

·         Accepts other duties as assigned.

·      Consults with other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to patients' needs.

·         Communicates appropriately and clearly to Clinic Operation Director, co-workers and Providers.

·         Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.

·         Orders medications from hospital pharmacy to maintain stock levels and clinic supplies from Hospital Central Supply and store room.

·         Maintain compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements

·         Float Nurse as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

·         RN or LPN Current Kansas License

·         Current BLS Certification

·         Strong organizational skills with attention to details

·         Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications
