1997 GMC Sierra 4x4 with the 6.5 turbo diesel. Long bed extended cab.
The good: OBS, Structurally sound. Trans shifts great without issue. 4x4 works. Runs and drives. Has 17" wheels and tires. Body is still decent. 4" exhaust. Clean title in hand.
The bad: Had about 50k on a reman engine and it just lost oil pressure one day. Yes I've checked this with a manual gauge off a port on the side of the engine. Starts and runs at 60psi but as it warms up it slowly loses pressure all the way down to 5psi. Still actually runs and drives great. I start it about one time every couple months and run up and down the road a few miles to just limber up all the rest of the drivetrain. Power steering leaks.
This was probably my favorite truck I've ever owned and I hate to let it go but it's been a long time since the engine lost oil pressure and I always had a plan to put an engine in it but with a family and no time for projects and just being an extended cab that's unlikely at this point. $5,000 obo. Just putting it out there to see if there's any interest. I'm negotiable.
I'd love to see someone get it going again. It was a great truck for me. Like I said it runs and drives but I wouldn't daily drive it as is right now. Have another matching 6.5 truck(no title) the same year and model that I may consider selling also as a parts truck.
