Had it for years, never going to get to finishing it up, the good news is, most of the work is done. Everyone knows about Mosins, what many don't know is a lot of them were made in the USA by Remington, Westinghouse, etc., under contract for the Czar, this ceased with the Russian revolution and America's entry into WWI in 1917 and a lot of these stayed here and were even used to train troops.  Eventually sold off to civilains and many were sporterized, like this one, likely in the 1920s or 30s.  Whoever did it cut down the military stock, and I have not shot it as a result (look at it, that would kick ferociously).  The barrel has also been cut and a commercial front sight installed.  Bore is good, and whoever did the work, did a great trigger job on it, I didn't know a Mosin could have such a sweet trigger pull.

Years ago, I got a 95% inletted sporter stock for it and a no-drill scope base which mounts in the rear sight base.  I haven't found the time to fit the new stock to the rifle but it shouldn't take much and there are plenty of videos on youtube for doing stock work.  If you ever wanted a Mosin sporter, here's your chance with a better action than the commie ones and which has had most of the hard work done.  Message me here with questions or seven-eight-five-three-zero-seven-zero-two-one-seven.
