This is a nicely aged 16 gauge browning with a 27 inch barrel. I cannot find the barrel markings but I do not believe that I would've bought it if it had a full choke. I believe it's at least a modified. If you have a choke gauge you might wanna bring it. I cannot find anything other than made in Belgium on the barrel. Plus, it has some sort of micro checkering down the top of the barrel. I do not believe it is a 2 9/16 gun.(it's not, I just found the markings on the barrel and it is a two and three-quarter inch gun) For all of you, Browning guys that remember the star code, it has two stars and then special steel 16 gauge two and three-quarter. And I know them two stars meant something.I bought it and I shot a few boxes of number six through it. If I tried to go lighter shot, it did not function right. But it did shoot number six fine. As fast as you could pull the trigger. These guns are priced all over the map and hopefully by the pictures you'll be able to tell it's a pretty unmolested gun. The other thing that I liked about it a lot was it still had the Prince of Wales type stock on it. And the checkering in the wood is still very nice. And there's some micro checkering down the top of the receiver. A very  nice shooter and a very functionable firearm yet. The butt plate is correct. Forearm is not cracked. Stock is not cracked. Screws are perfect. It's just a nice old gun. Remember guys this is all that old man Phil Robertson on Duck Dynasty would hunt with. They're still good guns.  I will listen to trades, but unless it's an old colt or Morgan silver dollars I'm probably not interested. But I'll listen to it if it's not a crazy offer. No "is it available"and no "text and or call me" with a number unless we established a relationship on the next tech messaging. If you're interested in the gun, good, if you're not so be it.
