eyeSMILE Vision is a friendly, patient-focused eye care practice in Hays, and we're looking for a full-time Optician to join our close-knit team. If you enjoy helping people look and see their best and take pride in providing exceptional patient care, we'd love to meet you!

What You'll Do

• Help patients select frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget
• Take accurate measurements, fit, adjust, and repair eyewear
• Explain lens options, treatments, and coatings clearly and without pressure
• Place and track orders with optical labs and carefully check finished eyewear for accuracy
• Assist patients with eyewear questions and adjustments
• Maintain an organized, welcoming optical area
• Help manage and maintain optical inventory
• Provide a positive, professional experience for every patient

What We're Looking For

• Previous optician experience or ABO certification is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Retail, optical, or healthcare experience is helpful
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable learning and using basic technology
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn
• A warm, friendly team player who takes pride in their work
