📣 WE’RE HIRING: Communications Specialist

Do you love telling stories, designing eye-catching graphics, and connecting with your community? Western Cooperative Electric is looking for a Communications Specialist to join our team in WaKeeney, KS! This is a newly created position, giving you the opportunity to help shape the role from the ground up.

In this role, you’ll help share Western’s story with members, employees, and the communities we serve through:

✏️ Writing and editing, including our Kansas Country Living pages
📱 Social media and website content
🎨 Graphic design, photography, and video
📰 Media relations and outage/emergency communications
🤝 Community events, member education, and our Annual Meeting

What we’re looking for:

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, PR, graphic design, or a related field (related experience may substitute)
• Two or more years of related experience preferred
• Strong writing skills; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media is a plus
