All will need to be worked with, as like any pet, so they will get use to your smell, sound, and movement. You can pet them, slowly, and can handle one, however, any sudden movement will scare them - like any animal. Sugar Gliders are not for everyone and require a special, but easy diet. These gliders like fruits: Bananas, Mangos, Peaches, Pears, Cranberries, Raisins, Dried Coconut. We do not feed fruits with seeds - they are cut out if given like Strawberries, Kiwi, ect. They also like Vegetables: Broccoli, Carrots, Sweet Potato, Lima Beans, Yellow Squash, Zuchinni, ect. Again, no seeds. For proteins: Meal Worms and Sugar Glider Complete pellets are fed. You may also use the jarred baby foods for any fruits, veggies and proteins. We scramble eggs for the gliders, however, no seasonings are added nor is milk. Just plain scrambled eggs. 

Added supplement of calcium given 1-2 times a week and mixed in with foods. They love Cranberry Juice as well. Gliders do not require any vaccinations. Gliders are nocturnal and marsupials and they contain 40 teeth. You will only feel 4 if they bite. We have taken gliders to the vet when they get sick, which is not very often. Binding in a female glider is common. They only have one opening for defacating and giving birth.
