Vintage Japan Bisque China Ornate Pitcher with Puppy Vase Gilt Gold Trim

Has one of your kids or grandkids ever run into the house with a small bouquet of weed blossoms clutched tightly in his or her hand? Many times those bouquets end up in a Dixie cup, which is too big and doesn't give them the place of honor they deserve. This little vase solves that problem perfectly! 

This vase looks like an ornate pitcher with its decorative handle and spout, but in actuality it's a vase. The pitcher was molded to appear as though it has been heavily carved with swirls and curlicues, trimmed and tipped with gilt gold paint. The pitcher would have a very formal feel were it not for the adorable little brown puppy clinging to its base! He's just as cute as can be with his big dark eyes and laughing mouth.

The vase is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks or flea bites. It stands approximately 2-1/2" tall. It is 3" wide from spout tip to curved handle and is 1-1/4" deep (front to back across the base). The bottom of the vase bears a black JAPAN stamp.
