Nex-Tech is seeking an Engineering Technician to prepare, update, and maintain construction sheets, maps, cable records, and other plant records for outside plant facilities.  Duties will include splicing and testing of copper and fiber-optic cable for new and restoration projects, completion of cost-studies of proposed construction plans to determine feasibility of projects, and inspection of all aspects of contracted work under construction.  The employee will also prepare cutover sheets and update subscriber information with plant records.    

Requirements: 
Associate’s degree, or the equivalent, plus five years of experience or equivalent work experience in construction, engineering, or plant operations.
Basic computer skills required.  Knowledge of RUS procedures, specifications, and contracts beneficial. 
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
