Valley Hope Association is looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to fill the Accountant position for the Corporate Office in Norton, KS.  This position requires an Associate’s degree in business administration or accounting.  Extensive experience in accounting may substitute for degree requirement. 

JOB DUTIES

  1. Accurately maintain general ledger, sub ledgers and other accounting records.
  2. Assist in monthly and annual closing of books.
  3. Prepare work papers for annual financial audit.
  4. Assist in production of financial statements and other reports.
  5. Ensure that all facility as well as corporate financial accounts, including but not limited to bank accounts, investments and accounts receivable, are accurate and in balance.
  6. Analyze budget variances and report any and all spending is authorized in the budget.
  7. Other related tasks as needed.

Annual starting salary ranges from $38,000 to $50,000 depending on education, credentials and experience.  In addition to the salary package, there is also an outstanding and highly competitive benefits package.  The benefits package includes: a portion of health insurance, life insurance, excellent retirement, tuition reimbursement, generous paid time off and much more.
