Description
The Rush County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a 911 Dispatcher. The position is full time starting at $11.95/hour dependent upon experience. Rush County offers Kansas Blue Cross/Blue Shield, paid vacation and sick leave, and KPERS retirement.
Applicants must be 18 YOA or older with no felony convictions or certain misdemeanor convictions, have a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain a Kansas Driver's license. Applicants must pass a background check and be able to obtain NCIC (National Crime Information Center) certification.
Applicants should have a good working knowledge of computers, technology and maps. Applicants should possess quick problem solving and decision making skills as well as be able to multi-task. This position requires good personal relations with the general public, co-workers and supervisory personnel. The selected applicant must be able to complete on the job training and testing.
