Smith County Memorial Hospital has an opportunity for a laboratory scientist to support our growing patient service in Smith Center, Kansas. The successful candidate for this position will have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science field (chemistry, Biology, etc.). Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) is desirable, but not required. Will assist a candidate achieve certification. The laboratory scientist will obtain specimens and perform analyses in blood and fluid chemistry, hematology, coagulation studies, urinalysis, and other tests used for the diagnosis of medical conditions. After hours call is required in rotation with other laboratory staff. Excellent salary and benefits package.
