Position: Store Manager

Type: Full Time Position with Possibility of Future Ownership

General Summary:

As the Store Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the store. We will provide extensive training for the right candidate. You will be responsible for sales, purchasing, completing loans, keeping accurate inventory, managing part time employees, keeping accurate pawn records, and performing necessary reports through our line of business software.

We expect the store manager to be the face of the store and active in the marketing efforts to bring in new and existing clients. This will include being on video that will be distributed through social media.

The store manager will work with the leadership team to grow and expand Flatlander Pawn and Gun’s presence across North Western Kansas. As the company grows we plan to include the store manager in profit sharing. For the right candidate, we will consider providing shares of the company as a bonus for continued employment. This will allow you to work towards ownership of a significant portion of the company without any up-front investment.

Training will be provided by the current store manager and leadership team. Responsibility for operations will be transitioned to the new store manager over a period of one year. The current store manager will be staying on as part of the leadership team to continue to provide ongoing support and training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Keep accurate records of inventory, pawns, and firearm logs

·         Implement and maintain a new line of business software program

·         Day to day operations of the store

·         Managing online sales through eBay, Facebook, and online Classified services

·         Packing and shipping items sold online

·         Listing items on eBay, Facebook, and Classified services on a daily basis

·         Purchasing inventory from customers on a daily basis

·         Providing Pawn loans for customer on a daily basis

·         Manage part time employees and schedule staff to cover store hours

·         Perform quarterly audits of inventory, pawns, and gun logs

·         Assist with content creation for social media

·         Become the face of Flatlander as the new Pawnbroker

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience, or equivalent education, in management field

·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales related position

·         Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel

·         Experience listing and selling items on eBay

·         Working knowledge of Facebook

·         Experience with operating firearms

·         Must be over 21 years old

·         Must be able to pass a background check

·         Experience with electronics and music equipment is a plus

·         Experience with hand and power tools

·         Desire to continually learn and grow

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Ability to listen and explain terms to customers

·         Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously

·         Excellent listing and communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Strong customer relationship skills

·         Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated

·         Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation

·         Willingness to develop professionally

·         Problem solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlines

Working Conditions / Requirements:

·         Professional retail environment

·         Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. on a regular basis

·         Must have reliable vehicle for work

·         Must have reliable cell phone and service
