Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Acute is looking for a PRN Unit Secretary

Position Overview

Provides indirect patient care in the Acute Care setting.  Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.  Prepares and compiles records in the Acute Care Unit.  Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff.  Participates in performance improvement activities.  Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards. Follows out tasks delegated by the nursing staff.

PRN  6am – 6pm (shift)

  • Weekend shift rotation

  • Includes Holidays

  • Answers telephone/intercom in a polite manner and communicates information to the appropriate personnel/family.

  • Performs patient registration duties between designated hours and as needed.

  • Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.

  • Prepares medical records for new admissions and discharged patients.

  • Computer experience

  • Required High School Diploma or GED
