The Plainville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of a Full-Time Police Officer. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicant must have a valid Driver’s License. Applicant must not have any Felony or Serious Misdemeanor convictions. Applicant must have good communication and writing skills, be able to interact with the public in a positive way and be able to perform all duties that are required for the position. Applicant must complete and pass a pre-employment written test, background investigation, medical exam and psychological test. Salary depending on qualifications and is negotiable. The Plainville Police Department runs 12 hour shifts, with every other weekend off. Take home vehicle and all duty equipment, including uniforms are provided.
