Triple Eight Equine Center is a brand-new state of the art equine facility located on 95 acres just off I-70 east of Hays, KS.  We are seeking a (part-time) reliable and professional riding instructor to join our team!  The riding instructor will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to riders of all ages and skill levels (Beginning through Advanced Levels) in the art of horseback riding.  Lessons will be in both private and group settings.

Duties include:

·        Develop/implement lesson plans tailored to individual rider’s needs

·        Instruct riders on proper riding techniques and various riding styles

·        Teach riders about horse care, grooming and basic stable management

·        Provide guidance on safety procedures/adhere to safety protocols

·        Assess riders’ progress; provide constructive feedback for improvement

·        Maintain a clean and organized facility

Qualifications:

·        Strong background in horseback riding

·        Knowledge of different riding styles (western/rodeo)

·        Excellent communication & organizational skills

·        Experience working with riders of all ages and all skill levels

·        Ability to lesson plan/manage schedules

·        Ability to match lesson horse to rider’s ability

·         Ability to evaluate horse behavior

·        Ability to effectively instruct/motivate riders

·        Ability to handle horses safely and confidently

Job Type/Hours:  Part-Time; Hours will vary

Schedule:

·        After School     

·        Morning Shift

·        Evening Shift

·        Monday-Friday

·        Weekends as needed
