Sunflower, a generation and transmission cooperative serving Kansans, is hiring a Purchasing and Contract Specialist in Great Bend, KS. Collaborate with several internal departments and with outside suppliers and vendors to network and build relationships while purchasing materials and services. This position will also initiate, negotiate, and execute contracts for all departments; you will be empowered and exposed to situations that will utilize your experience and knowledge of purchasing and receive leadership opportunities!

Top Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and one year purchasing industrial commodities and services experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of general purchasing procedures, and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Able to successfully participate in and complete the National Rural electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) purchasing certificate program.
