Royal is a 2 year old purebred brown Swiss that is A2/A2, BLV, BVD, and Jhones NEGATIVE and she is FRESH NOW! 

Royal was born on 04/27/2021 (about to turn three!). She freshened for the first time on April 5th 2024. The first few days of lactation she hit 4 gallons and has been increasing daily as she has is now producing 5 gallons a day. She may add another gallon to this by the time she hits her 8 week peak production time. 

Royal has access to a brome bale 24/7, a grass acreage, and is fed grain during milking (sweet feed, oats, alfalfa pellets, wet distillers grain, and corn). She eats as much grain as she wants to for 7-8 minutes while we are milking. Has been a very easy keeper on this routine and has been increasing milk. 

Royal is 55.5 inches tall and 1250 pounds. She is fully trained (halter broke, easy to catch, broke to lead and tie, broke to hand milk or machine milk, will load in and out of a trailer). She does not move while she is being milked and is not kept in a stanchion. If you are new to milking and want something that is proven and going to be safe royal is the cow you need!
