Description

Recently we bought a new car and are selling our Baja to make room.  For those of you looking for one, this needs no introduction.

Baja's are generally hard to find and developed a bit of a cult following.  It has the proven Subaru symetrical all wheel drive.  Like all Subarus, it sports among the highest safety rating available.  Unlike some Subarus though, this little truck has muscle.  The production motor in the turbo Baja's is actually a slightly detuned WRX motor and puts out 210 horsepower and 235 ft-lbs of torque.  It is built on an outback frame but has the utility of a small pickup.  Best of both worlds.

If you are unfamiliar with Subarus or the Baja's, here are a couple links to get you up to speed.

Now, on to this particular Baja.  Carfax shows no collision damage and regular service intervals.  I have maintained it following all the Subaru recommended schedules.  I have not kept paper service records since I have owned the car but I am religious about engine oil changes at 3000 miles and transmission oil changes at 20,000 miles.  Though it has nearly 118,000 miles, it is a Subaru and as such, it's just getting started.  Subarus are legendary for their reliability and longevity.  Ever wondered why so many rural mail carriers drive them?

This has power everything (windows, locks, seat, etc).  Includes the Homelink compass mirror with built in garage door opener.  It has a six disk CD changer with six speaker stereo system.    Heated leather seats with no nicks, tears etc.  It has a very cold air conditioner and the automatic transmission with the sport shift.   Factory tinted windows, fog lamps, sport lamps and a locking hard tonneau cover round out the package.  Have jetskis?  No problem this has the towing package.

Mechanically it is excellent.  Runs strong and rides smooth.  Externally, it is in great condition.  The interior is in excellent condition.  The only thing this car needs is tires in another 8k miles or so and I have discounted the price to account for that.

Suggested KBB retail on this package is $15,897.  KBB private party value is $13,147

NADA Guide lists this as having a $15,825 retail value and a $12,775 value for trade in to a dealer.
